Earby to Malham (and a wild swim)

Another shorter day, from Earby to Malham, only 19km all in on a good night's sleep. This section covers the gap between the Peak District and the Yorkshire Dales, so most of the terrain was rolling farmland, and a couple of nice sections along steams and canals.
About halfway is the village of Gargrave, and we stopped in at the local church for a look. The tower is all that remains of the 1521 building, the rest being rebuilt in 1850s, the different stone is apparent in the photo below.
Coming in to Malham, the scenery changes dramatically, with the cliff face of Malham Cove looming over all, and rocky tops to all the hills.
Meeting up with a friend of Adam, we all went to check out Janet's Foss, a waterfall we had found online when looking for "wild swimming" spots. We all braved the cold (except Seabourne the whippet), much to the astonishment of several walkers. There was also a cave in the cliff, as can be expected in limestone country, large enough to stand up in, but small enough that light reached the back wall.

What to do when your bridge needs to be bigger? Build another on top.
